Autism at Work
Overview
In the spring of 2018, YTI partnered with five multi-national companies in the design and implementation within each organization of 14-week engaged learning credit internships for Cornell ILR School undergraduates, focused on workplace neurodiversity inclusiveness. Students worked in the respective companies in supporting applicant recruitment, screening, supervisor training, working effectively with higher education institutions, and other special initiatives focused on identifying applicants and integrating employeeswith Autism into the business. Eight students have participated to date in these internships to date and we are planning to further expand the number of companies and students participating in spring 2019.
